You Must Compete like Dion!!

            Good morning for you all. Firstly I will say thank you so much to My Jesus because of his blessed, I can do this job well. I hope you enjoy.

            Before I started, I will introduce my self. My name is Cecilia Pretty Grafiani. I from class B. And my student registered number is 120904564.

          

  Well, for this exam,  I will choose the title “The best competition on earth I have ever known.” There is correlated with chapter you must compete. Okey.. Let us start!

            If we talk about competition, what is on your mind? I think it will be easy to say.

There are many competitions happen in Indonesia. In every section it can be competition. There are singing competition, sport competition, dancing competition and many others. I will take singing competition part.

Have you ever known about Indonesian Idol? Of course you know it well. I will tell you the history from Indonesian Idol. Indonesian Idol is a reality television singing competition. It created by Simon Fuller and produced by Fremantle Media Asia which began airing on RCTI on March 2004 and became one of the most popular shows in the history of Indonesian television.  Part of the Idol franchise, it was as a spin-off from the UK show Pop Idol.

The concept of the series is to find new solo recording artists where the winner is determined by the viewers. Through telephone and short message service voting, viewers have chosen as winners Joy Tobing, Mike Mohede, Ihsan Tarore, Rini Wulandari, Aris Runtuwene, Igo Pentury and Regina Ivanova 

The series employs a panel of judges who critique the contestants' performances. The original four judges were AMI Awards-winning Jazz musician Indra Lesmana,  AMI Awards-winning pop singer  Titi DJ, Radio announcer and presenter Meuthia Kasim and video director Dimas Djayadiningrat. The judging panel currently consists of musician and solo singer Anang Hermansyah, musician and artist manager Ahmad Dhani . Other judges who have been a part of the show are television presenter Indy Barends,  MTV video jockey and comedian Jamie Aditya, musician and conductor Erwin Gutawa, Indonesian Superstar Agnes Monica.

The show was originally hosted by radio DJ Amelia Natasha and TV host Irgi Ahmad Fahrezy. In 2006, Daniel Mananta replaced Irgi as the main host and Dewi Sandra replaced Ata in 2008. Since 2010, Daniel Mananta was the only host for this program.

Indonesian Idol won the 2005 and 2006 Panasonic Awards for the Best Music Variety Show. It also defeated its rival, Akademi Fantasi Indosiar, known locally as AFI. Singapore Tourism Board also rewarded Indonesian Idol Season 1 by inviting the Top 11 contestants to the American Idol World Tour there. And many others present for the contestant.

Well, I will tell you specific about Indonesian idol seventh session. It start to be broadcast in television on 17^th February 2012 aired by RCTI. The judges are Agnes Monica, Anang Hermansyah and Ahmad Dhani. There are twelve contestants who will compete each other in Indonesian Idol. The first eliminated is Kanza. After that Belinda, Ivan, Rio, Shandy, Dera, Rosa. And the big five are Febri, Dion, Yoda, Sean and Regina.

From all the contestants Indonesian idol, my favorite idol is Dion. His full name is Dionisius Agung Subagyo. He was born on 30^th April 1987 in Temanggung , Central Java. Now, he is living in Purwokerto with his family. Become an idol, it was his dream. And now, he can prove it.

Dion is a man from average family, want to try his dream by joining Indonesian Idol. From a thousand young man, he chosen to be twelve contestant who will be compete in Indonesian Idol. The characteristic from  Dion is have a complete packet. It means, he has a blessed voice and have a good attraction on a stage. Beside that, he is also have a good looking. The most interested performance from Dion when he sang a song I love You Bibeh by changcutters. Wanna see the video? Okey I will turn on for you. Check it out!

Have you watched? What is your opinion? What a creative performance!!  Am I right? So that’s why I really favorite him! When he gave the gimmick “baby baby oh baby” that is from Justin Bieber’s song. What a brillion idea right?

Dion always has a lot of idea for attracting audients. This is the way to compete another contestants.  Having a complete stage also his way. The judges sometimes give him standing applause because his performance. And Dion become the hardest competitor among the contestant. But, when he out in Fantastic Four Indonesian Idol, I was very sad. Actually he can be more than he can do now. Although he eliminated, I hope he can continue his dream to be a best singer. And I will wait his debut.

We can learn from this case, if you wanna be success you must try to be the best and never give up. Always practice hard and have a lot of creativity to make you different with  another. Indonesian Idol just a medium for us to be famous and also become the best singer who will well known in the country or in the world. So, if you want be like a Dion, you must compete to be the best.
